Maasai Mara National Park

Duration: 3 Nights
BOOK NOW

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is situated in the west of Nairobi capital and South West of Kenya. It is owned by the Maasai people, hence it’s not a national park. It may not be the largest reserve in Kenya, but it’s certainly the most well known.

Every year, many tourists come to visit in this rich and bountiful wildlife and birdlife reserve. The game reserve is mainly known for its vast population of predators, lions and cheetah and over 2 million wildebeest that migrate each year through the Mara river to cross the crocodile infested waters.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve covers an area of 1,500 square kilometers and supports 95 species of mammals, reptiles and amphibians, and over 400 species of bird life. There is no other place in Africa where wildlife is so abundant.

For this reason, every visitor never misses an opportunity to see all the members of the “big five” – elephant, buffalo, lion, rhino and leopard. Other game includes cheetah, Grant’s gazelle, giraffe, hippopotami, topi, Roan antelope, Coke’s hartebeest and the nocturnal bat-eared fox.

The Mara Serena Safari Lodge

The Mara Serena Safari Lodge is located at the heart of Mara Triangle in the world’s famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The safari lodge sets high on a hill overlooking the open savannah and the winding terrain of the Mara.

It stands high above the one of Africa’s legendary wildlife arenas and the world renowned breath taking spectacle of the legendary wildebeest migration called “The Great Kenyan Migration.”

Mara Serena boasts the traditional Maasai manyatta motif with artistic blends of international sophistication without losing the traditional African culture. Each room in the Serena Lodge has a magnificent and uninterrupted view of the Mara River and so do the dining areas and the central bar within the lodge.

The activities in the lodge include two daily game driving in an open 4×4 safari vehicles, breakfast by the hippo pool, sundowner in the bush, balloon safari and the viewing of the panoramic Maisha Safari Spa and Gym.
